We found so many useful projects to do with our test torch that we'll be keeping a supply of propane bottles readily available. Hundreds of tough-to-kill weeds have met their demise plus lots of grass and other plants trying to start a new home in sidewalk/driveway cracks (which, left unattended can actually break concrete and asphalt). We also had an unsightly patch of year's-old duct tape someone had stuck to a concrete floor. Scraping the tape off was an arduous task until we remembered the torch - one pass and the ancient glue quickly gave up it's stubborn hold. The torch was always easy and reliable to light; open the valve about half-way, light a barbecue lighter and pass the flame in front of the nozzle (trying to ignite the lighter when it's directly in the path of the gas is much trickier). Rugged all-steel construction will last for years; non-rusting chrome finish. Solid brass valve for accurate flame control and an insulating stay-cool handle. 14 oz propane bottle provides about an hour of continuous flame.
